I like having fun with the game's photo mode outside the game's main story line: NPCs and their lives, the city, funny or curious situations, typically with my V in the middle of them.

Tip: Play around with the image ratings. Every rating you give will give you a different response text, either as thanks (for good ratings) or as a snarky/sarcastic comment (for bad ratings).

It is ever since games like Bioforge (released in 1995) that put you into the role of a character and let you live their adventure that I have been hooked on this kind of play style. These games let you influence the story like a movie that you are an actor in, and give you a real sense of progression as your character's skills improve.

To me, Cyberpunk is the current crowning of cinematic RPGs. It has all the elements that make a great story, and goes above and beyond to let you inhabit the role of the main character.

Some other games that made me feel like I was part of the story:

  • The Mass Effect series
  • The Elder Scrolls series (I started at Daggerfall)
  • The Witcher 3
  • The Fallout series
  • The Dragon Age series
  • Baldur's Gate
  • Icewind Dale
  • Neverwinter Nights
