Thinking back on video games that left a lasting impression for me over the years, I decided to make an overview of them. Compiling the list has been a lot of fun, a wild trip down memory lane. I realized that many of these games have marked me in some way, and cheesy as it may sound, I would not be the same person if I had not crossed their paths.

My very first encounter with a video game was on a friend's C64, with Blockout. I think I was around 12 years old. It was a revelation - I had never seen anything like it. From that moment on, I was irretrievably hooked. Even though it was a big investment at the time, my parents were kind enough to buy me a Commodore 64. It was a crazy time, and I realize today how lucky I was to be able to ride on the (back then) ever-increasing gaming wave.

NOTE: I curated this list to show only games that I played for long enough to be meaningful, and which are important to me in some way. They are ordered by release date - I failed to sort them by when I played them, I could not remember that with any meaningful precision.

TIP: If you want to see what any of these games look like (especially the older ones), just search for them on YouTube. Some adventurous souls have uploaded gameplay videos for all (!) of them.
